Guitar

My tab and links

I have been playing guitar since I was twelve, so that makes twenty-one years now.  I like to play Rush, Zeppelin, Floyd, Hendrix, and SRV.  Metallic blues is my favorite music to play along with.  I had the privilege of seeing Stevie Ray twice before he died, and every time I hear recordings of him playing, it makes me want to be better.  My goal is to be able to play "Little Wing" and "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)" with half of the soul and talent he had.

I keep my electric in my classroom, and I play in the morning and the afternoons.  The kids like it, and I don't have to turn it down for the missus.  I keep the acoustic at the house, and that is what I try to learn licks on, so I get the tone and speed.  On the acoustic, for the most part, though, I like to fingerpick (Blackbird, Dust In the Wind, Stairway, More Than Words, etc.)

At one point I had a Gibson L6-S, Black with a silver Sunburst, and a Fender London Reverb 100W Stereo Amp.  Those were both pawned-- never sell your gear.

I now play a Fender Squire Stagemaster, Red Sunburst with dual humbuckers, a Hohner O series Model HH90 acoustic, a Zoom GFX-2500, and a Fender Frontman, 25W, all of which are gifts from my lovely wife.
