Well, this has been a very tiring week. We did cap it off with Tijuana Flats, and there was much rejoicing.
I have quite a bit to do this weekend, which means I am up for some egregious procrastinatory malfeasance, which is beginning with this post instead of helping my lovely wife write the testing unit or grading papers or getting ready for my class at the temple tomorrow morning. I may even try to mail Wendy's copy of the senior CD today!
If you are reading this, then you have seen that Dillondesk and the blog have been relocated. This is not fallout from Hurricane Charley - we still have a congenial relationship with Earthlink. I am trying to find a server with more space and no blocking at school, and I found one. Welcome to HostUltra, everyone.
Hope you have a pleasant weekend, and I hope everyone reading this in the Orange and Seminole County areas is not huddled around a terminal in a library with a portable gnereator any more, as I am sure you had to do earlier in the week.
Seriously, I hope everyone is okay and managed to esacpe with no loss of life or property during the storm -- I have only heard from Tim and Chris and Karen and Andy, so I hope the others of you are alright.

Had my first Gaither open house tonight -- wore a tie and everything. I had about 8 parents show up -- pretty good for at-risk seniors. :)
Talk more later.

My lovely wife wanted a hammock for her birthday, and I had a devil of a time finding one, so I gave her a "coupon" to search amazon.com or sears.com to find one. She was much more enterprising, and went on eBay.com and bid on a really cool one.
As it turns out, the seller won it on the Price is Right, and it comes with all kinds of extras like a caddy for drinks and magazines, a side table, a stand, and even wheels for moving the stand. Cool.
Tomorrow night is open house at my school and today I joined the SAC (school advisory council) as the representative for English. I had fun with the kids today, and tomorrow is centers,so that should go smoothly too.
On Monday, I will get a new class in fourth period, and they will dissolve my six-person second period, which means my conference period is now 2nd -- so I will go from 3rd (Crime Watch) through seventh with no break except for lunch. That rather sucks, but I am perfectly willing to take one for the team since they did give me my own room --and that is worth any amount of walking in the sun and up and down the stairs.
Six peeps. Legs sore from too many stairs Fu. Getting off the computer to eat stuffed pork chops Fu.

I hope everyone in O-Town is okay -- I am nervous hearing all the reports of schools being closed and the devastation in Winter Park. I hope my favorite Schipperke weathered the storm alright.
I am getting off the computer now -- I have been on pretty mch steadily since I got home at 3:45 -- I participated in a web conference call for McDougall Litell and then I was reading SAT essays.
I need to make sure that tomorrow is a little more fun -- this standing up and talking deal is for the birds. THe kids are doing okay but it is wearing me out -- I wish I had longer with the IR3 kids -- the FCAT retake is the end of September -- then i have them for a whole other nine weeks. That should be interesting.
Six peeps. Bags under the eyes from lack of getting up late Fu. Proud of Joe for finishing the summer reading Fu. Getting up to have Moose Tracks frozen yogurt Fu.
