I had been checking every day for a week and I didn't check yesterday in the evening and now they are ALL GONE!! Gossshhhh!
Oh well -- I will just log on to Ticketmaster at noon and fight the hordes for what's left.
The link for her tickets is http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/749136
If you live in Orlando, those tickets are still available for presale at: http://www.toriamos.tickets.musictoday.com/ToriAmos/calendar.aspx
I'll log back in after I buy my crappy Tickets.
Crapfully yours,
StrongMad

MTV Interview with Lucas
MTV.com - Movies - News - After Snuffing Hundreds Of Stormtroopers, George Lucas Looks To The Future
He admits he is going to produce a couple of tv shows and he is hoping to start shooting Indy IV next year.
When asked about dtails from Indy, George responded that the script needs to contain the following:
"A movie that moves forward, is entertaining, and has an interesting story to tell."
I hope we finally get that with RoTS. It would be nice to at last have our revenge on those who have bashed the prequels as toy commercials and opportunities for actors to practice being wooden with stilted dialogue and wipe out entire cities to woo beautiful ex-queens.
Additionally, there are going to be some limited edition RoTS iPods produced soon -- that would go well with the Cingular ringtone and image I am still trying to resolve the download of.

I am a little bit upset.
I have been a member of Hyperspace (the Star Wars Fan Club) for two years now, mostly because of the cool access to content that I get (the webcam, the set diaries, the entire Clone Wars series online, all the web documentaries, first looks at the trailers, etc).
Come to find out, Hyperspace members have to wait until AFTER the theatrical trailer airs on the insipid "OC" teenybopper soap opera to view it online, when it was heavily discussed that we would have it the day before it aired on television.
The trailer will be in front of the movie "Robots" beginning March 11, and for AOTC I went to see Monsters, INC. to see it, so I suppose I will take the kids to see Robots to get a look in the theater.
I understand that Mr. Lucas wants to keep the trailer off the message boards as long as possible, but what about the committment to the true fans who are not stealing anything and paid him money to have access to LEGAL content???? We should have the trailer a full day before these little One-Tree-Dawson-Mountain addicts. Sheeesh.
Tori is singing "Mother Revolution" right now. I can't wait for the show. There are still no advance seats avaialbe through her site yet -- but I keep checking.
Time to get off the computer and make dinner, I suppose.
The Watchmen movie is progressing -- there have been positive reviews of the script, and the director does have the appropriate reverence for the graphic novel.
Six peeps. Would be seven if I was caught up with grading Fu.

Mr. Jerry's B-day We ate at Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant for Mr. Jerry's birthday last night -- I had fried green tomatoes, cheese and bacon grits, corn pudding, and a "twisted southern chicken" entree (grilled breasts smothered with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, corn and served on smashed potatoes with mushroom gravy). Yummo.
Good luck with FCAT week everyone!! My kids did fine, and it sounds like Joe and Sam did okay as well. Several of the kids in my homeroom marked the text as they read, and most took most of the time alloted. This was just the ninth grade test, though, so hopefully they will continue this next year. The juniors and seniors did not come to school until 10:30 for homeroom, so they were more awake today, though not in the mood to work.
Oscars Well, no one emailed me their picks (I guess posting the list the day of the ceremony was a little unrealistic on my part), so here was my score:
I picked the following correctly: Best actor Best director Best actress Best supporting actress Best adapted screenplay Best screenplay Best foreign language film Best song Best visual effects Best film editing Best animated feature Best documentary feature Best visual effects Best film editing Best animated feature
I missed several of the biggies, though -- I missed best supporting actor and best picture, as well as costume design, makeup, cinematography, score, and all the short features (like anybody could ever guess those right).
I thought that Scorsese was robbed (though I have yet to see the film, but that is irrelvant in the decade that Denzel could win for quite possibly the worst performance of his career). At least Aviator itself got props.
I think it is great that they tried new things with the show (having the entire roster of nominees on stage a la Americal Idol, having some people accept statuettes in the aisles, letting Chris Rock do his thang, etc) and maybe now they will let Robin Williams co-host with Billy next year (he stole the show with his intro for the animated film award).
I need to do a better job of viewing the nominees before the contest -- I do want to see Siudeways, Million Dollar Baby, Finding Neverland and Aviator, but I think I will wait and add them to my queue on Blockbuster.
26 minutes to 24 -- this episode looks like we might get back into the swing of things.
Seven peeps

The Oscars are tonight -- you can click here to see
If you would like, you can submit your pick list to me and I will announce a winner Monday night. Please email the picks to me by 7:00pm tonight.
You can lick on the link below, highlight the list and paste your picks into an email.

Have a happy Sunday (mine is going to be very rainy and very busy).
Tori Update:
Ellen will be selling tickets early on her website for the Clearwater show: http://www.toriamos.tickets.musictoday.com/ToriAmos/calendar.aspx
Otherwise, they go on sale at Tickets.com on Friday at noon. I hope this time we are not in the nosebleed section and can actually see her. It is a much more intimate setting and show this time (herself, two organs and a piano), so any seat should be a good seat -- it would just be nice to be near the front row.
I will give the Peeps count later -- it will be based on how many essays I grade and how successful I am at avoiding the temptation of lingering at the keyboard and bathing in the blue light.
