REVENGE OF THE BRICK!

LEGO.com Star Wars Homepage

Lego has the entire short film on the site now -- you will need Quicktime to watch and, and since iTunes is now bundled with Q-time, you might as well buy some righteous tunes while you are at it.

We will be on the road in about 30 minutes.

I also just read a wonderful review of the film from a Lucasfilm employee -- their screenings happened last week:

http://www.theforce.net/episode3/story/Now_THIS_Is_The_Way_To_See_Episode_III_92368.asp

To balance that, you might want to read the Rolling Stone review by the man who obviously wants to be unique:

http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/movie/

have a great day -- off to eat the Crispix!

Saw "Starsky and Hutch" this afternoon, then had a nice dinner with Gudes (Mesquite grilled chicken, baked potato and grilled veggies. For lunch I had three slices of WONDERFUL pizza from the Readers Rule luncheon, and a bowl of Crispix for breakfast).

The flick was alright -- I love Ben Stiller in most anything, and he was a little off here. THis was not the unbridled silliness of a Zoolander -- that was epic.

Tomorrow is the last SAT class for the season, and school is over except for exams next week.

Little more than five days to RotS. Woot woot.

Saw "Sideways" this evening -- I am now officially a Paul Giamatti fan. I loved "American Splendor," but this was actually better. I love movies that people took the time to write -- and Madsen was wonderful as Maya -- the speech she gave about why she loves wine was electric, and the ending was perfect.

Went to a "Poetry Cafe" after school -- three teachers and some juniors and sophomores put it on -- it was very cute. Lava lamps and bongos and soft lighting with coffee and cookies. Reminds me of a certain English teacher and a class project of hers.

Crispix for breakfast, stuffed chichken breast, rice and peas for lunch, hot dog no bun for snack, and breakfast burrito (chipotle fat free tortilla wrap with eggs, lite cheese and a Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burger scrambled together) and tater tots for dinner. I am on like day 8 with no chocolate -- that is the hardest part, but my pants are much happier.

Happy Friday.

Didn't even tape the OC with Georgie boy. Oh well.

Well. I passed the screening for the county-level position Supervisor of Innovative Instructional Programs, so now I just wait and see if I am among the three who get invited to an interview with the Superintendent's Staff.

Last night we watched "I (heart) Huckabees." Hmmm. That's about it. I have nothing really to say about the movie other than it is just another pocket in the blanket of existence and gives new meaning to the term "dirty love scene." Tuna fish will never be the same.

Apart from that, we had a WONDERFUL dinner of stuffed chicken breasts, rice, and our chosen green roughage.

(I know I have been slacking on the meals, but yesterday I had a bowl of Crisipix, a taco salad from school, and a hot dog without a bun when I got home before dinner. Tuesday's meals were a bowl of Frosted Flakes, a can of beef and portabello soup, and boiled ham, rice, and salad at the Gudes. Monday was a bowl of Frosted Flakes, two slices of Calvin pizza, and for dinner a chipotle wrap with Spanish style pork roast and another two slices of Calvin pizza).

I got a Darth Dew this weekend, and I have made ti to the fourth level of Revenge of the Sith with my children's help. The videogame is awesome -- the cut scenes at the beginning of each level are actual footage from the film, and the gameplay follows the plot. The animation and detail are incredible, as are the Jedi moves -- this is an awesome RPG.

Today's food:

Brunch: Two eggs, fried potatoes, assorted melon, turkey bacon, and lite sausage

Dinner: Chips and salsa, fried potatoes (the little bit that were left-- they were a hit at brunch) peas and carrots

and DARTH DEW SLURPEE!! Yum. The movie is a week from Thursday.
