Got back from the beach today about 2:00pm (Obi was not amused at the waves -- he bit the foam and barked his head off at the waves).
The first day the waves were a little too rough (leftover from Dennis, I bet) but after that they were tasty, as was the wonderful pizza from Manny's and the fantastic calamari, crab dip, conch fritters, fried oysters, sweet potato fries, and scallops, grouper, shrimp and veggies over linguini at the Fisherman's Net.
We stayed at a little place called the "Topaz"-- we had a great little efficiency, and cooked many meals and ate many cookies. I like vacation.
The girls have gone to see Dave Matthews -- the men stayed back to do laundry, wash the van, sew patches on scout shirts, and pack.
Now that we are mostly finished, I am going to watch the original Batman movie with my son (we saw Sixteen Candles, North by Northwest and 1941 on this trip as well -- their cinematic education is progressing nicely.)
To the batpoles! And then to NC! And then to panic because I am not ready for school to start on the 28th!

Newsday.com - Television
This site really is actually pretty cool. They have two coumnists who discuss the upcoming intersting fare on cable -- and they are not relegated to a specific genre. If you have ever kicked yourself because you missed the episode of Bizarre Abodes on the Travel Channel featuring the Star Wars house, this page is for you.
Headed to the beach and away from the computer for awhile, but with my sporadic posting this summer that should not rock anybody's world.
