Neil and Christopher Robin

Apparently the folks at Disney have been doing major drugs and talking to focus groups while watching Dora the Explorer, because they have decided that in the new Pooh animated series Christoper Robin will be replaced with a cute little tomboyish girl because "these timeless characters really needed a breath of fresh air that only the introduction of someone new could provide."

Neil's take on the situation is rather humorous, involving him being supplanted on the blog by "Skippy, a fictional six-year-old tomboy and computer genius, with a small number of endearing catchphrases":

Neil Gaiman

Have a goodly Friday.

Bye, John

Fans of Lennon are gathered at Strawberry Fields and are going to have a vigil at that section of Central Park outside the Dakota, where Yoda, myself, and my lovely wife spent some time this past March. I am glad that they are still talking about him, and talking about the difference he tried to make.

Sinead

Saw Sinead last night at a little pub called Four Green Fields in downtown Tampa.

She is touring with Sly and Robbie, the reggae artists, in support of an album called "Throw Down Your Arms." Here is the site -- you can listen to some of the songs.

The show was pretty good -- they started late, but the sound was great, the rain was a pain, and the hippies were dippy, the groovin' was soothin, and the beats were neat.

The highlight was the fact that the lively wife and meself ended up on the front of the local paper, don't you know?

Here is an article about the show from the other local paper
