our patio is complete, and I have been a slacker homeowner -- I don't think we took any in-progress pictures of the slab or of the enclosure.

It is very cool -- it even has a dog door for Obi!

It will be a bit late when I return to the manse, but I shall endeavor to capture the addition photographically and display said addendum to our abode on this very corner of the blogosphere.

I am off to Twin Lakes Elementary this afternoon to participate in an SAC training -- that should be somewhat fun.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday evening.

I myself enjoyed evenuing last because we were watching American Idol and then I watched LOST all by myself, because it is not my lovely wife's favorite show.

I really enjoyed last night's episode, because it featured Sayid, and he is really my favorite of the morally ambiguous denizens of the island (Sawyer is a little too much of a caricature for my taste, and Kate is much less interesteing now that we know why she was running away).

Valentine's Day, M&Ms, stupid Orange Crush bottles, Jack, and Chuck

Went Valentine's shopping yesterday -- got some very cute things for my lovely wife, including a copy of Princess Bride (wuv...twue wuuuuvvvv...) and a cute butterfly pin. Target is a wondrous place.

I lucked out -- I got EASTER M&Ms because they were out of the Valentine's candy when my love went shopping.

Neil has written the best Valentine's Day poem ever

I also got a few things for myself -- including a Beatles Greatest Hits CD, a Stones Greatest Hits CD, a Duran Duran Greatest Hits CD, and my best buy -- the entire Police catalog on iTunes (minus seven songs from Outlandos d'Amour that I will buy separately later) for 30 bacon double cheeseburgers! iTunes is doing scaled pricing on albums that are not new -- so Regatta de Blanc was only $5.99! Rockin'. We have been playing Name That Tune in my freshman SAT classes -- today was name the Beatles tune.

The kids at school were a little nuts -- tons of huge stuffed animals and waaaaaaay too much candy. And SGA does this STUPID fundraiser where they sell bottles of Orange Crush -- you buy a little coupon that gets delivered during homeroom and you cash it in for a bottle, which then gets knocked around all day long so you can scream at the geeks who got no bottles -- it is a very bourgeois enterprise, oppressing the dateless with the hegemonic influence of the hip and cool and those who measure their self worth by how big their Valentine's gift is and how many bottles of soda you get to carry around.

Oh well.

I am watching the Wynton "Sparks" iPod commercial -- he rocks. Now the "Good to Go" Crunchwrap Supreme Taco Bell commercial -- geek chic is a funny phenomenon.

Now I am going back to Gilmore Girls -- a show that has drastically improved since Rory went back to school.

For fun, you could check out my favorite latest web phenomenon (I can't believe I used "phenomenon" in the same post TWICE!!!):
